Master Barber Program
Our Barber program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for state licensing and employment in the field. The curriculum meets the educational requirements set by the Florida Barbers’ Board and spans 975 hours, blending both theoretical and hands-on learning.
Our course covers a range of topics, including safe and effective work practices, human relations and job readiness skills, Florida barbering laws and regulations, the science of barbering (such as chemistry and bacteriology), hair-cutting techniques, and the development of practical skills essential for mastering barbering techniques.
Prospective students must comply with the following requirements to enroll:
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 16 years of age. If the applicant is less than 18 years of age, a parent/guardian signature is required to enroll the student in the program.
- Present a valid government issued photo ID.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Provide United States Citizenship or residency documentation.
- Complete The Enrollment application.
- Interview with a school official.
Program Application
Submit a completed application and the corresponding fees.
Campus Tour & Interview
Complete successfully an interview and campus tour with a representative of the admissions department.

MILITARY FRIENDLY ACADEMY
Barber Academy of Orlando is approved to provide Veterans Educational Benefits by the State Approving Agency.
VA students may be required to:
- Produce the VA Certificate of Eligibility (COE) by the first day of class.
- Provide a written request to be certified.
- Provide additional information needed to properly certify the enrollment as described in other institutional policies.

STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
All tuition, fees, and related costs of the program of enrollment are included in this catalog, and are due prior to the scheduled start‐date of a student’s course(s), unless the student has made an arrangement for monthly payments. A complete fulfillment of payment obligations is a condition for graduation.
- Full payment at time of signing enrollment agreement.
- Registration fee at the time of signing enrollment agreement with balance paid prior to starting date.
- Registration fee at time of signing enrollment agreement with balance paid prior to graduation following an agreed payment plan.
